Making the first jump

In 2013, I moved from Norway to London. There wasn’t a clear plan or path, just a strong inner calling saying «it’s time» and «jump, and the net will appear.»
And it has. Over and over again. In wonderful, strange, and sometimes miraculous ways that I could never have planned or anticipated before I jumped.

For those of you who have been following me and my adventures, you know I have lived in many places over the last 14 years, and I’ve honestly loved them all.

Every place I’ve lived, I’ve felt like I’ve been where I needed to be, to experience and learn what I was supposed to, to grow into who I am meant to be, to feel like the person I am today.

Sometimes it’s been scary as hell, like growth on steroids. Other times it’s been comfortable and safe, so I could gather myself and prepare for what to come. Most of the times it’s been fun, exciting, and joyful. And one thing is for sure: my life is never boring!

Today I feel like a different person than I was on that first day in London, just having started to spread my wings. And I think that’s how it’s supposed to be; that life is about learning, growing, becoming, embracing everything it has in store for us (including the parts we don’t like) - and to ENJOY the journey.

And of all the places I’ve lived and loved; the kind of love I’m feeling for the place I now live, in the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and rolling hills, waking up to the song of birds, grasshoppers and the bells tolling from the nearby monestary (no, I’ve not become a nun ), is deeper than anything I’ve ever experienced.

My soul is telling me that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. That life just keeps getting better and better.
And that it all started with making that first jump…
